Engine noise: care to take a listen/stab?

Hey everyone. This started yesterday suddenly on my 22r/90 pickup. There was a sound before it started, quicker and louder, like something loose and metallic. Any ideas? Pardon my interruption at the end of the clip too. Too haggard to edit it out.

I hear something other then the normal valve tapping. But it's hard to tell what it is. Almost sounds like a trans mount or engine mount.

Huh, well, I reckon I could be being paranoid. Thought I was hearing something new. Nothing different about the driving really. Oil looks fine. I've got a piece of exhaust shield (I think; it's piece of metal surrounding I think the exhaust right under the driver's seat) that rusted off and is on there with a couple of clamps as a stopgap. Could something down there be vibrating? So no obvious death sounds/timing chain sounds? It's the last rev when I really hear it in the recording.
