engine is good.....tranny tweakin?

well thanks to yall i got my motor runnin well, now i need to worry bout the tranny. Around town i dont notice it because im never in overdrive, however, at highway speeds and on the interstate, it will go through all gears smoothly, then hit overdrive, then bounce between overdrive and 4th gear continously and gear hunt. sometimes it will stay in overdrive, and drive smoothly, sometimes it bounces out of overdrive and stays in 4th at highway speeds, keeping the RPM's up there. Now i bought this truck under the idea that the lady had the tranny work done last summer (as i was told by her) so im hoping its a sensor or something stupid. as i said before, when it stays in overdrive its solid, it just gear hunts between 4th and overdrive and i cannot find the variable to keep it in overdrive. any help?

is your engine fully warmed up? I believe it wont hit overdrive until the computer sees the rig is fully warmed.
