Empi Carb

Hello folks Im new to the site so I figure this is the best place to start! I have an 86 toy 4x4 that I would like to replace the carb with a Weber but I have also been looking at an EMPI. Has anyone or is anyone running an EMPI I have heard that the Weber is a tempermental carb. Any and all help is appreciated. Thank you

Empi is a knockoff of Weber, Weber's are a great carb, ussually right out of the box, if adjustment is needed, follow the instructions and you wont have any problems

You'd be better off finding a used weber to rebuild than going through the work to get a new EMPI working well. I wouldn't call Webers tempermental either, I hardly touched the one I had on my last truck for two years. The Empi of today is not the Empi of yesterday, it's chinese made junk. I've gone through some of their carbs and made them work but they're simply not even a quality knock off.
