Good to hear it's all getting straightened out. It's a PITA finding a good smog station here. I have been to more than one that will actually try to fail your vehicle. Then again, I have been to a few good ones, too. There is a private shop here in Lancaster I have been going for a few years and there is a Mobil station in Northridge and a private shop in Newhall I would go to again.

 

I would file a complaint with the DMV emissions lab. It's just not enough to complain about it, You need to put a complaint in writing. They should have given you a free smog & apologized as well. That's the kind of service that is offered today it seems. Now people will hear about this through word of mouth & by seeing it in this forum & other places I'm sure. A simple free smog & apology could have really made things go in a different direction.

 

dude go to the smog place over on las vegas blvd and warm springs by boot barn you know by the self car wash the guy there is cool i just got my 92 smoged there and it has a hi flow cat no problem + in the yellow pages there is a coupon for the place its usually 19.99 but with the coupon its 12.99

 

Agreed. That's one thing I really miss... Customer Service. Just a few years ago even a gas station attendant would treat you well. Now it seems that everywhere you go people act like you are an inconvenience to them.

I know exactly where that is. A bit of a trek from my house, but that's a pretty good deal. We resmogged the truck at the Terribles on Durango and Sahara. The tech was very polite and professional, but 6 bucks more expensive than your guy.
