Emergency Knock Sensor Wire Question

Does the knock sensor wire go out the back or front of the block. I got it going out the front but I want to be sure before I install my motor since it will be a pain to switch it.

Neither the front nor the back. It goes out the side(left). Like this:

but I got to take the manifold back off and fix it before moving on.
