So today I opened my hood to make sure everything was good and I noticed one of the vacuum line nipples, position "R", was broke off the egr vacuum modulator. This is the a round vacuum hub on the passenger side front/top of the engine. My question is what is the function of this peice and should I worry about this line being broke off. My truck is running just fine, no rough idle or unusual fuel consumption. Can anyone enlighten me what this actual vacuum hub does and what is the purpose of the line "R?"
