Egr temp sensor
#2
The EGR gas temp sensor in my truck will also fit (some) trucks back as far as 1992. https://parts.lakelandtoyota.com/p/T...941234010.html So I'm pretty sure no models before that had the sensor, and so far as I know only California trucks had it.
So, congratulations! Your motor is much newer than the rest of your truck.
The sensor is used to monitor the operation of the EGR system, and report (throw a code) when it did not work correctly. Since you don't have the harness (and probably the ECM) for that sensor, you can just not bother using it. (Unless you're in someplace with smog control, in which case you might have trouble when the "disconnected" sensor is noted.)
