Hey! You changed your post...lol! Yeah, that's the part I was asking about on mine. Now, I believe that's what is on yours on the pass. side of the intake with the blue harness and vac lines going to your FPR (and not EGR modulator...pfft). SO! It seems you have one...just not where mine is, eh?

So, what's the VSV for in the MIDDLE of the valve cover? Do you know?

Thank you! It doesn't appear to look like mine, though. I'll have to go and compare.

Any luck with your renegade wire?

Fingers crossed....

Thanks for posting those pics. That VSV in the middle of my valve cover looks a bit different than the pic, but it's the same thing. So, now I know. Hooah!

there should be diagram on the underside of the hood, unless its faded
torn, missing or a different hood! lol dont know if it will tell you where that goes but it might give you a starting point. I think its actually a vacuum diagram...

yeah, but honestly, the one below it looks like the exact same connector as well. Also, There is a plate over the valve covers there with like three extra senors or whatever that i don't have, nor do i have that plate thing. I'm kinda confused by that picture, but yeah that is most definitely the plug, or one of those is. So i really have no idea whats going on, as i though that the VSV is rate in the middle of the valve cover there???? If you guys have any insight then feel free to give it, in any case i'll have to look and see if that diagram is there

I know Swansen, but if you look at the color coded wires the one at the top matches yours.
My suggestion, PM the owner of the truck in the photo. Go to the thread and contact him. Find out if he knows what part that is on his, what it does, what it goes to, etc. Even ask him if there is a part number on it and call the dealership with the info. Then you'll know what the wire is supposed to go to. It still may be optional equipment.

Check these links out. Will point you to the VSV's on valve cover:

Do you have A/C on this truck , if not then this is most likely that connector.

That is backwards of what I was saying. Anyhow after checking my setup It is not that VSV.
Looking at your EFI all the way to the rear and to the valve cover side you will see (sensor ?) with 2 vacuum lines coming out.Trace one back to see where it ends. They will connect to metal lines that run along valve cover and then up to VSV's.
I am not sure if this (sensor ?) is the pair valve or if you even have one.. Check the links I sent previously and also refer back to previous pic that shows the VSV's and you will see a check valve (yellow and black) this is where vacuum lines will end.At least it does on mine.
