Where is this located on a 90 Toyota pickup? I was thinking it was just the ecu under the passenger side kick panel but I've seen the ecu and the ect ecu mentioned in the same things leading me to believe its another separate computer?

 

Does ect mean Engine Coolant Temperature? Well, fwiw, I've never heard of such an ecu. Can you say where you heard "ect ecu" mentioned?

The ECT is inside the ECU housing on later models, If you open the housing up and there is a large daughter board that is the ECT.


I don't know what year they were like this, I do know 92 with electric SPD does.
