Driving with ECT sensor disconnected

Will driving for a few days with the ECT (Coolant Temp) sensor disconnected hurt anything, besides gas mileage?

Have mine disconnected on my 3VZE and won't get a chance to play around with it until the weekend, and have to drive it.

Thanks.

Running rich is a quick way to kill a cat converter.

James, how quick do you think? I gotta drive about 30 miles round trip today and then it won't be driven anymore until it's fixed.

It all depends on how much raw fuel is being dumped into the cat and how far along it has already deteriorated. It is impossible for me to tell you how long it will last without testing the cat, for that you would need a rear O2 sensor and a scanner capable of live data. I could tell you that 30 miles is not that far and you should be safe but its just not an answer that I can give and be sure.
