driving on a broken leaf spring?

so, i am doing a 2 week gig in rural utah. i am 50 miles from a small town, and another 80 from a town that might have a scrap yard or auto parts store. this morning my top driver side rear leaf spring busted 3 inches behind the ubolts. it isn't sagging any more than the other side, or causing the rear end to noticeably lean.
if i can't get any repair done(which out here is very unlikely), can i make it 130 miles without serious damage? wear on my tires is not much of a concern, as they're on the way out anyways.
i have a spare ubolt of sorts. if i clamp the busted leaf spring down, might that help avert potential disaster until i get to civilization?

Sounds like you might have broke the main leaf. I would try to get it fixed asap.
your ubolt repair would probably work to get you back to civilization as long as you take it easy and don't go crazy...that being said, it needs to get fixed asap

this got Volcom off a nasty trail with a broken leaf..
"My trail fix halfway up Carnage, right before the V-notch. Glad it happened before the notch than after

see if you can find a welder to patch it up to make the trip. not a permanent repair but would be better than rolling the dice.
