Driveshaft question

Need a new driveshaft for my 94 4runner. Will a shaft off of a standard cab toyota truck work or are they different??? Thanks in advance!

Different, so far as I can tell.

It's easier if you use your VIN, as that has the chassis code embedded. Then you can use a dealer site like http://www.toyotapartsoverstock.com/...rimLevel=18204 to see which driveshaft you need, and after another page or two, what other vehicles it fits.

Measure the length you need between flanges

Then you know what will fit.

Use the correct bolts

All I know is the price for work must have gone up quite a bit since I last had some work done.
20 years ago I had a driveshaft made for my 66 Nova and it cost me $330. I went to the same shop and asked how much to install u joints and re-balance my drive shaft in my 2WD Toyota and was quoted $185-$200.00

Prices do go up Everyone needs to pay for there Health care or lack of.

it has been a few years since I had a drive shaft built but a rear one for a 4 Runner was like $200.00
