How does your speedo cable work now?
Arent the pre '92s cable driven while '92 and later are electronic? I wonder if thats where the length difference comes from?

I had no idea there was that much difference in length.

Yes it is electric VSS, but I need the MC VSS in order to use for the '89 T/C, and yes the diffrent lenght is from that part. I think I might need the driveshaft from the '92 to '95 years, I won't think the '89 SB pickup will be long enough , believe 2nd gen. 4runner are a bit longer so I may need a DS from either that year.

One of you guys(4Runner owners) should get a weld to weld measurement from the rear driveshaft of your 4Runner with the 3VZE/R150F/VF1A lineup. I know...crawl under the truck with a tape measure!!! How dare I ask! Consider it a non-monetary donation to the YT cause.

That's what most people use as the standard of measurement for driveshafts. It was very helpfull for me to know what mine was. The guy who sold me both of the ones I bought asked me if I'd measured mine and then made me measure them, with my tape, before he wanted to let me leave with them. He did this routine on each occassion.
