Drilled out oil pressure sender - Need help

Been on here a few weeks reading up as I work on my 86 runner (22RE-C). All kinds of things been done in last weeks and will share later but right now I have an issue.

Started to mount an oil pressure dial and the old sender unit would not come out. Easy outs, reverse drills etc and days later still stuck in there. So tonight I drilled it out with a 3/8's bit and will convert to NPT. I am very worried about the shavings however. I have seen conflicting reports on the oil flow and if these will get picked up by the filter or not. Need help from those that have done this. Best way to get these out? Thank you

Pull the coil wire, crank the motor till some oil comes out the hole and the shavings will come out with the oil.
