I've taken out the Door control from under my dash but i dont know how to tell if its broken.
When i click the passenger door lock/unlock there is a little clicking noise inside this box.
But nothing happens. When i click the drivers door there is no clicking noise at all..


I was just wondering why my door wouldnt lock with the switch.
Anything helps. Thanks in advance!

I would say it is one of two things depending on if the pax door switch works on it's own or not. Either a wiring problem between the control box and the pax door switch or a problem with switch in the door. If nothing works at all the wires to the door solenoid may be disconnected or corroded. The wires running into the door may also be crimped/broken/shorted.

I have a similar problem [driver's side unlock no work] and I've narrowed mine down to the door master switch (driver side) since everything else works as it is supposed to. I tried cleaning it with contact cleaner (had foo, thing apart too lol) but no soap... grabbed a new one in the yard... one day I'll get PO'd enough and install it.

 

I betcha the gremlins did it.
