i went to autozone bought the alum tube, two rubber boots, pipe clamps, and the clamp on filter adapter then i ordered the biggest k&n i could find it was made for a diesel truck lol I had to cut the tube down about 5" to get it to fit. it works great and i havent had a problem.

nice... yeah bigger works pretty good for this engine. I chopped about 3 inches off one end and 1" off the other with the electric pipe. The autozone spectre chunk will end up in my tacoma...

More noise is normal now, want Lexus V8 4.0, will probably go 3.4 because that's what I know but until then....

Is it just me or is the coolant overflow/vent tube aimed right at the air filter? Sorry, just an onservation since this is on my to-do list so I'm reading up on it...

The adapter came w/the kit, I still have all the parts that came off the e-bay kit. Filter & adapter are of good quality, & the silicone coulpers are good also. if anyone needs this stuff, you can have it for $25.00 shipped.

Pretty handy, took me a good 30 min to fab my adaptor... yeah, I didn't even notice before about that coolant hose; a simple addition of some 3/8" hose should do the trick
