Doing front brake job (Wrong rotors?)
I'm buying all the parts to do a front brake job (new rotors and pads) and wheel bearing repacking.
The rotor I got has six holes but from all the threads I read and FSM. 90-95 rotors have 2 extra holes to bolt into the hub from the back.
I'd like to know so I have all the right parts before I start.

From what I remember there are 6 bolts in the rear of the hub attaching the rotor. I can't remember if they go through the rotor or not. Should be easy to tell if you take a wheel off.

Thanks that makes me feel better. I was worried because the write up on 4x4 wire the picture has 2 bolts that fastened the rotor to the hub. The FSM for the 93 toyota also stated to torque bolts ..
What year's/models have rotors with two bolts?
So I should be good to go then.. Any pics would be helpful and lastly should I reuse the studs when you replace the rotors?

I reused mine.
One hint, the bolts holding the rotor to the hub are very tight and probably rusty. When I did mine I found the easiest way to get them out was to put the rotor/hub upside down inside one of my wheels lying flat on the ground. Then stand on the edge of the rotor and the tire, and use a 24" breaker bar to loosen the bolts.

eric-the-red when you say bolts holding the rotor to the hub do you mean the six studs? Or did your setup have the extra 2 holes that bolt the rotor to the hub to make it 8?

I meant the 6 that go in the back of the hub holding the rotor on. Mine didn't have the 2 other holes, and it was also a 93

I've got some old locknut's (lost the key) that I've removed with info from another thread on the site.

If I screw those on and hammer out the studs, shouldn't be a problem right?

Just thought I'd update and post some pictures (passenger and driver) of my Rotor, pads, oil seal (+ re-greased bearings), brake line and finally the manual hubs change .

1) the way rotor's are attached to the hub. I thought the hub studs held the rotor in place.
2) using the rim as a holder was a awesome, I forget who/were post mentioned that but thanks.
