Just cuz it is common don't make it right (or acceptable) If it is, indeed, as common as you say it is, then cracksmkr.com has a unique opportunity to rise above the common purveyors of crap, include ALL necessary gaskets and excel in what they do. If they don't take advantage of this opportunity, they'll always be cracksmkrs in my book.

Well after 3 rebuilds I now know whats NOT in the engbldr kits, so I have a little "get from the dealer list" ready to go whenever I start a new project. I will continue to use his parts as guys like Ted are the kind you WANT to support.....
PS: Did you pick up new injector seats and o-rings when your were at the dealer too.....?????

What are injector seats? I sent away to have the injectors cleaned and they came with new O-rings and pentil caps.
Question @ the thermostat gasket--is there one? I know there's a big rubber O-ring where the thermostat sits, but is there a paper gasket as well? When I renovated the cooling system, I had the toughest time finding one--I had to cut one myself. Dealer told me there wasn't one. What say yall?

Just the thermostat o-ring, no gasket.....
Good call on the injectors, If not sending them out its a good call to get new upper o-rings and the lower seals where they mount into the fuel rail....ie: pentil caps (after 260,000 miles they tend to get a bit crispy)

x2 i've run into ALOT of differences swapping my EFI to an '84 motor.
there isn't a place to put the knock sensor, the timing chain is a different leingth, the valve guides are a little different, the head is compleatly different.
80-84 heads have hemi combustion chambers they also have domed pistons
lots of crap to deal with.
alternator bracket and alternator we're also different.

I am just getting my head back on and everything put back together after a HG replacement on my 94 22RE. When I pulled the EGR, I seem to recall scraping a gasket off it, but now that I am going to reinstall everything, I don't have an EGR gasket in my engineblder.com engine gasket kit. This is what the EGR looks like to refresh your memory:
This is about the closest gasket I can find in the kit, but it doesn't really fit exactly right, and I'd REALLY hate to screw up this job. Any thoughts?
