Does this sound like a good deal?

Well I was maybe gonna be buying this 4runner and I was just wondering if you guys thought the price was okay. It's an 88 with the 4cyl in it, 5 speed. Two door, pretty sure removable top (aren't all pre 90's?). It has smittybilt tube bumpers front and rear. The mileage is pretty high, some over 200 thousand I think but the motor went out so a new one was put in just a few hundred miles ago. The 4wheel drive wasn't working (transfer case wouldn't go in gear) but I was told it's been fixed (by another source, not the seller). The interior is decent, can't remember if anything was torn or not but the dash and everything is what you'd expect a 19 year old truck to look like. I remember the paint being decent but it probably has scratches all over and stuff cause I just don't really pay attention to paint on trucks so I wouldn't know. It's pretty stock overall other than the bumper and a cd deck and alpine speakers. It's my aunts husband that owns it, he's a mechanic and buys messed up cars and trucks (bad engine and 4wd in this case) then fixes them and sells them. He's a very good mechanic, really knows his stuff, plus he's a great guy, not really worrying about "hidden problems" like when buying from someone you don't know. Anyway, can't remember what he wanted originally but they said they'd sell it to me for $2000 since I don't have a vehicle and need one to get back and forth to work. Think it's a good buy? I think it'd be a really fun truck and all but I just wanted to double check and make sure the price was okay.

BTW he has a toyota axle that might come with the truck if I can talk him into it but I doubt I can get it off him for free cause he paid a few hundred for it

is it a solid axle he may include??? that would be sick because you could SAS it later $2000 sounds about right for that setuo and yes its a removable top. If he rebuilt it it should be good. the 22re is bullet proof even after so many miles If you trust him like it sounds like I would buy it and if you could get him down to $1500 that would be amazing. Good luck
