The harnesses are mostly the same from 88-95, with most changes due to emissions requirements, injector types and ECU revisions between the years, and 2wd vs. 4wd and auto vs. manual.
If the ECU, harness, sensors and injectors are moved from one vehicle to the next collectively, there are usually no adverse effect to engine operation but 2wd/4wd and auto/stick (as well as which auto or stick) need to be accounted for if you're sourcing a replacement harness for some reason.

Well this is what I have, 1990 4runner, I pulled the 3.0 wiring harness, and I dropped in my 22RE from my 87 truck, I found a 91 4runner 22RE wiring harness that Im swapping in, but the connectors on all the motor sensors and fuel injectors dont match up, so Im wondering what years the connectors where changed, so I can find the injectors and sensors, that will connect right on up...

22re's as the motor goes are pretty much the same. On the harness, 85-87 use one style injector plug and 88 uses a different style. Here are diagrams of the different injector plugs.

85-89 has a bent throttle body and 90-95 has the straight throttle body.

Which years used the resistor for the injector(s) and how does that affect the harness?

There you go- use the harness from the 87 and no issues.

Connectors also changed in 1992/3 when toyota made many changes and updates to different systems.

That's fine. I don't know either. But the design started because of the 22re's use in the Celica / Supra's which required the down-turn to allow the intake to clear the hood. Why it continued until 89/90 is up for debate since there was room for the straight intake under the hood of the trucks but was probably a result of testing for compliance with US and California emissions requirements.

Well , you know when you pick up a truck and you look under the hood and all the wiring looks basteriezd...aka FUBAR..Well thats what the 87 harness looked like, so I wanted something that was still original and not hacked and spliced...
