My GTO however gets me into all kinds of trouble when I do drive it....lol! People seem to think I want to race all the time when I really don't. To this day I'm STILL tryin to get one freakin tank without someone trying to mess up my MPG average!!! LOL!

Wow yeah 13's are slow for a track vehicle that gets pulled in on a trailer or a 50k car with 30k worth of motor work, but for a 4k 4runner that weigh's "4800 lbs" with maybe 10k worth of motor work that's fast. I would love my 4runner to pull 13's that would be faster than my corolla that's tuned, and even faster than my friends 66mustang with 430rwhp. I wanna know your daily driver that pulls 13's like nothing because daily drivers are mostly slow right? Both my vehicles are dd's and cost 20k or less and aren't pulling anything near 13's and besides he's not doing a track vehicle, he could easily get the weight down to 3500 by doing light weight stuff, if he already hasn't, it's a 2wd, that's 500 lbs less right there and my 4x4 lifted 92 with 32's weighs in at 4760. Do some research and stop hating.

Well if it's stock everything else with untuned turbo I'd only say like 190-200 hp, your starting with 150, a tuned stock everything turbo I'd say maybe 210-220, with an intake system add another 10-20 depending on style and brand, add an aftermarket cat back add like 5, do full exhaust /w headers add 10-15 I'd say a tuned full header back exhaust with a killer intake system you'd be looking at a max of like 250-260. That's with just f/I, intake and exhaust modifications, to get 300 hp you'd have to change a lot more on that motor, not knocking it, I think it's an amazing 4cyl, it puts down as much horsepower as my 3.slow with less weight.

hmmm, just found out toyota made two different race motors, one based on 3vze, single turbo, DOHC, lightwieght connecting rods and idled at 2500rpm. made 436hp at 7800rpm. also a 5vze baseed nascar spec v6 that they wanted to use in a t100 body for truck series wich they obviously changed to a tundra... it made 700+ hp... nascar does not allow any type of forced induction!! thats right, 700hp, NA 5vze...

its crazy to think they get 700+hp out of a 5vze based engene, but then again it was going into a T100 so it was early in the 5vze development. maybe a super concept motor.. not that far off from what this thread is talking about.
