Reading your requirements, you don't need an MT - you just need to air down more on the seemingly few instances where your current AT's don't cut it.

Not many MT's will meet your rquirements - especially the 50k mile treadwear.

My next tires will be 255/85-16 Trxus MT's. They seem to meet most of your requirements except the treadwear, and I'm OK with that - tires is still one of the cheapest aspects of ownership/maintenance.

ive heard really good things about trxxus muds, thats what I am gettting next, one consideration for me is wet roads, so the siping factor is huge... if you pick a mud without siping just get it done. not only does it increase traction on wet, it makes em last longer if its done right

i looked it up on the toyo site (http://www.toyo.com/docs/tires/tires...egory=off-road) and they do come in: 33x12.50R15LT, 33X11.50R16, 33.0X12.0R16, so really it just depends on what rim size you are looking at.

Hmm...maybe theres a difference btween the powerguards and the road ventures....

average speed for me is 60-100kmh...(ummm...40-65mph)..and I have no problem hearing the radio...i think my truck tops out at somewhere around 130-140 kmh / 80mph )and the speed limit here is at max 110kmh / 70mph...so i dont really know any faster than that....

but a defintite for the kuhmos.....

(i do however have a set of bfg A/Ts in 33 for the winter)

Cheers

I WAS ALMOST sold on the trxus MT but i kept reading reviews how they wouldnt balance right and three reviews in a row on ppl having blowouts on the highway... scary stuff man.. so im staying away from them...

COOPER SST'S, cant beat them for what you want... wear like iron, have good mud release characteristics and do very well in the sand for a "mud" terrain.. They dont dig at all..

not true. I had firestone destination m/t 245/75/16 that was excellent in the snow. It does better than my 35's.
