check the door vin plate it will tell you what size tire it should have
if you want bigger tires get them but I am willing to bet you will spend near 500$
FOR 31's and you mileage will decrease.
if you want better gas mileage replace the O2 sensor plugs&wires and cap&rotor
clean the TB and AFM
people will tell you to buy the sparkplugs at sparkplug.com BUT http://catalog.autohausaz.com/autoha...odel=PUP-7-001 has everything OEM for cheaper

I would go with 31x10.50x15...everything comes in that size, it will give you a better stance and improved ride, plus it will look better.
The difference in MPG will be nominal in either direction, but by increasing the tire's diameter, you will drop the cruising RPM's a little. With that in mind consider this: the reason your RPM's "drop" is because the larger tire diameter changes the affective gear ratio of the differential and therefore makes the gears "higher" so it will take slightly longer to hit the "sweet spot" but we're talking about a 1.5-2" change so all of this will be barely noticable at best. Just trying to explain the theory; the best way to experience this would be putting on 36's with stock gears, it'll take forever to get up to speed, but once it's there you're practically at idle.
I have a 1986 22R stock with 4.101's in the third and rolling on 33x12.50x15's. There is a small decrease in acceleration, but once I'm cruising in fifth it sounds nice and smooth. Keep in mind though that was in increase of 6" in tire diameter for me so that's why I have the small decrease, you won't experience that, so don't be concerned.

but seriously, changing tire size shouldn't affect your clutch as you say it does. i'd get that inspected immediatly!

i bought my truck with 32 12.5 15.... i thought i was bogging during accleration and would almost always have to downshift goin up a grade. when those buelers ran slick, i went with 32 11.5 15 no the hopes to save gas and regain a smidgeon of pwr. Not much difference in savings, i actually loved the tire, bfg mud and it was an excellent offroad tire. gas went up, tires too and when i went to replace, i went with 31 10.5 15, again with hopes to save/gain. To be honest.....not much difference noticed, and still getting ty mileage. so.....if i am gonna get wakass mileage....then i want to at least be happy so....out w/ the 3point slow and in w/ the 3point Fo'!!!i am gonna 5.29 and 36" daily driver say the hell with it and enjoy the out her for the rest of her days....
