Disconnect automatic locks

I want to disconnect the automatic locks on my 93', Like when I start the truck up and the doors lock. NO No I do not want my truck to think for me. How do I do it without cutting anything else off?

Do you have an aftermarket keyless entry system installed?
If so, find the manual and reprogram the control box to turn off the auto lock function.
You won't be able to cut anything because then the key fob won't be able to lock/unlock the doors.

on a 93 that "feature" would ONLY be part of an aftermarket alarm/keyless entry. back then they didnt feel they had to lock your a$$ in the car as soon as you got in it. (ya i hate that on new cars, that and headlights i cant turn off, and winshield wipers that work on there own)

AMEN!

and lane change warning systems, and cruise controls that can apply your brakes if it thinks you are following too close, and wipers that change speed automatically, and radio volume that changes with speed, and traction control, and ABS, and speed governors, and dvd players with multiple monitors in the vehicle, and gps based systems (specifically ONstar) that know your whereabouts at any time...
(just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean they're NOT out to get me...)

...and stupid beep and flashing lights telling you to put your seatbelt on!!!

Back to the point though...sorry NO keyless entry/alarm installed, factory or aftermarket. The truck I have was apparently the top of the line in 93 so they did want you to pay extra so you could lock yourself in at that time. Anyone have any ideas?

I second that about new cars!!! I drive my mom's Jeep sometimes, and it has all these little gadgets-auto headlights, auto wipers, the seats slide all the way back automatically when you turn it off...etc. I can't ever figure out how to turn the darned lights or wipers on. But the thing I hate most is cars that come equipped with drivers talking on cell phones

I think it's time to take off the driver's side kick panel and even the left speaker box and look at the door lock control relay for something out of place.
Here's a link to wiring of a 93 truck:

The GFs car has lots of those features. I unlock the rear door and walk back to the house for a second load and return with the stuff and it has relocked itself... Love that. But it is kind of neat that you can't lock the keys in the ignition. I can't wait till that stuff malfunctions...

If you ever figure out a way to disable that, be sure to let me know. That drives me friggin' nuts! When I leave the keys in the ignition, I make sure to leave the window down a crack so the car doesn't lock me out. I don't know how it's crazy mind works.
