different gearing in the same truck

So I was looking at a 4runner that has a All Pro sas kit front and rear , it looks very good but one thing that has me confussed is that the owner states that it has a DANA in the front with 5.38s and the rear has 5.29s both are locked. But its the different gearing in the two axles that has me kinda worried , is it possible to use two different gear sets in the two axles and not blow the transfer case??: or have I been mislead into beliving that both rears need the same gear sets??

Search - it's common for Toyotas that have D44's swapped in since there aren't 5.29's available for Dana axles.

It might be a small enough difference that, especially on off-road terrain, it will not affect the drivability. In fact, it would seem that if the front was geared to spin a hair faster than the rear it could help the truck to "pull" over terrain a bit.
