Diesel gearing
I have the chance to get full running gear from a buddy's diesel truck, minus the motor. Both front and rear axles, trans and transfer case. My question is, will the gearing be really weird running it with my 3.0? I'm thinking the diesel would have really high axle ratios to account for the low RPM and high torque the diesel produces, am I wrong? What about the transmission? would it still have simillar gear ratios to a gas engine?

The pick ups were (usually) fitted with lower gearing than the 4Runners.
