Got some potential there. Probably just needs a fuel pump or something simple the p.o. couldn't figure out or repair. Great for you, too bad for them. I say good score

Thanks guys. Here's a little more to the story. It has a blown head gasket. It was bought and brought from Cali to where he lives now and since it's got a blown head gasket he can't drive it back home to GA.
Also, the plan (right now at least) is to fix the 3.0 and a few other things, maybe a quick paint job, and put my 22 year old, blond haired, Barbie looking daughter in it with the sticker on the back window stating talking about J**ps being cute..... Barbie drives one........

Head gasket shouldn't take much to change. Unlees its been sitting with a bunch of coolant on top of the pistons for a few years and the block is wrecked from rust...Not trying to be pesimistic (sp?) or anything. I'm in with elton for the 3.4 and a manual tranny swap.

A 22 year old girl who will be seen in an old toyota? You sir have rasied my dream girl. Any pics? Joking!...kinda

Yeah, just did a HG on my 22re so didn't figure the 3.0 could be that bad (did some V8's back in the day).
Probably won't do a 3.4 swap....yet....she just needs to GO.....
As to posting pics of my beautiful, single, blond haired, soon-to-be-4runner-driving-daughter on here..............
Probably NOT!!!!!!!!
Unless she leaves this area with it and needs a good mechanic that knows 1st gen 4runners....;-)

Haha... The 3.0 is a bit more involved than the 22re, Its not too bad, but def gonna b more of a job than the 22, the exhaust crossover is the hardest part, IMHO.

well..........sad to say I passed on this one! Turned out to be in need of WAY more work than I was lead to believe. Body had lots of body work that was what I call 5x65.. It looked good from 5 feet away goin 65 miles an hr!
He couldnt get the motor to crank, there was noise in the rear axle when I rocked it back and forth, tires were all worn on the inside from the torsion bars being cranked up and never aligned.......yada, yada, yada....broke windshield & sunroof, EVERYTHING on it leaked........
hard to but I walked away.

Probably NOT!!!!!!!!
My last gf said I should sell my truck and get something "newer and more reliable" as she was sick of me always going on dates with my truck but not her. So I got rid of her and spent the money I saved on truck parts to make it more reliable. Truck was here first, it gets seniority. Apparently its quite difficult to find a nice girl who doesn't complain about having to jump to get into my truck. This kind of girl doesn't exist in my part of the continent so I'm quite intrigued by the thought of it but I'm doubting that she exists at all. Unless of course I see pics.

Just imagine "his" and "hers" trail worthy, solid axles in the driveway. Think of the children! They can cruise around the drive way in their fisher price FJ's, painted to match the real trucks of course!

And no, I'm not a creeper. I'm an early twenties guy with a career and hobbies who's currently married to my truck and looking for the girl who will put up with it!
