defintive electric fan post.

what is the best electric fan for the 3vze? if you can please link me to taurus, flex a lite 165, flex a lite 180, and others. thanks.

If you are really quick, you could do the searches your self, create the definitive post for the rest of the forum and escape the heat in the process.

Use a 3.8L Taurus fan with a 180* fixed thermo controller (don't get the adjustable ones they don't last very long) and a 85A (got mine from West Marine for $39 but I am sure that you can find one somewhere cheaper) continuous duty solenoid. Wire the controller to switch the solenoid on since the solenoid can handle the massive crazy startup current that the Taurus fan draws. Do it right the first time so that you don't keep spending money on the thermo fan controllers since they will melt and burn up 30A relays. I learned that the hard way.

That Flex-a-lite is really nice except for the cost. You can get a Taurus fan at the Pull-a-Part for $15, a Thermo fan controller for like $25, and the aforementioned 85A solenoid for $40=$80. Even if you don't want a junkyard fan you can get a new Taurus fan for like $150.
