Hey all,

I did some looking around on here and didn't find anything definitive.

I'm looking to replace what was once my deck lamp with a high mount 3rd brake light, I'm not worried about wiring, I can take care of that.

I'm curious if anyone has found a suitable replacement?

I found this f150 brake lamp ( )that I might be able to modify so that the white is turned on by the switch in the cab and red by the brake system.

 

4Runner had deck lamp, Truck has cargo light. What are we talking about here?
I think latest Gen Tacoma's ha a thrid brake light and a cargo light.

 

Sorry it's an 88 extended cab that had the deck lamp option.

I'm just looking at something to replace it, but know there aren't any factory replacements available.

I'll probably end up picking up that f150 light because it seems like it can mount flush to the exterior.
