dash clicking with short video
Heading back from the Olympics yesterday, going up some hills, the dash clicking came back (I had it briefly last month but it went away).
it seems to come from behind the cluster, I was running a lot of electronics at the time (GPS, phone charging, radio, sirius, lights). Does this sound ring a bell? I was going to say speedo cable, but my speedometer has no problems, no twitching etc). any thoughts are appreciated! thanks very much
Here is the link (first time using photobucket, I hope this works).

I just had the exact same noise this morning! It only happens when I'm turning left. My "4x4" indicator light comes on with it as well. It sounds like it's right under the steering column. How odd we both have it at the same time. I've been here over a year and NEVER seen this posted........

Ive noticed mine do that too,,,, I can hit the steering wheel a little bit , not hard and it will stop......Might not do it again for several months or might do it the next day.. I decided it is 1 of those problems thats gonna have to get worse for me to find it

sounds
I had it again today even with no accessories running, so I don't think the electrical load matters. I am going to try and lubricate the speedo cable and see if that helps...but it sounds like electrical relays to me. I don't have the 4x4 light come on and it doesn't seem to depend on which way I am steering, it just sounds like the console is having a clicking fest

If the vehicle is not moving...relays are the problem.
After listening to the video a couple of times it almost sounds like a relay.

relay
I don't have a fuel pump switch but I do have an immobilizer (powerlock) that requires touching a key to below the dash in order to 'unlock' the starter.
the sound I'm having though doesn't come from below the steering column (where the powerlock is) but it's from behind the speedo. It happens even when I'm not driving or turning the steering wheel though, just sitting there it can click away for several minutes. It went away for quite a while but now it's back with a vengeance. I was hoping that this was a common problem but it seems to be something that needs more diagnosis. thanks for your help!
PS. what relays would be behind the speedo/RPM cluster that might be culprits

Having the same problem. Did you guys ever fix this?
It started after a sharp right turn. seemed to be triggered by braking and steering, but it will do it just sitting there. It definatly sounds like a solenoid on cocaine.
It happened on a shakedown run after intalling dual cases.... though I dont think it is related.
BTW my OD light is also flashing

relay clicking
4rnr- it turned out to be my oil pressure sender. it was burned and fried by the headers. it trashed the oil pressure gauge behind the dash, that's what was clicking and that's why I thought it was the speedo. fixed the gauge and got a new sender/taped up the wire and it never made the sounds again. hope this helps- try following any cables leading from each gauge and you might find your culprit. good luck!!

That sounds electrical to me. Maybe get a mechanics stethoscopes and poke around.
Has anyone figured out how to silence the speedo cable, short of cutting it. No SAS will not solve the problem.
