Into the woods it is! Thanks for all the replies.
Thanks for confirming that the flange bolts are pressed in. Hopefully I never have to touch those. Just need to get the SAS moving along. As I mentioned, leaving this as is will give me motivation!!
My IFS is so rusty that it is not even funny. Should come out nicely with a torch!

Thanks for the reply spearo. I just finished your complete SAS thread, what a write-up and awesome pics! Good stuff, kind of scares me on the number of hours of work but you went for the top-shelf install. After bird season, she will go in the garage for Nov and Dec, can't wait.
Where did you get your SEM rattle cans of etching primer? That is a good product, did not know it came in a spray bomb.

I got those cans from NAPA here locally. The NAPA shop nearby has a great paint department. They have everything from hell to breakfast!!!
Don't forget to do a build thread on your SAS!!!

i've been running on a torn boot for atleast 6 months now.... mud and dirt have replaced the grease in what's left of the boot. i still wheel it, it still doesn't make a sound, even in 4wd
unless you're runnin' 40" boggers, i seriously doubt you'll break anything with mild 4wd action on your hunting trip.
save that $15 for a case of beer, or some nuts and bolts or something when you're working on your sas
