crush sleaves

crush sleaves
once a crush sleave has been crushed and installed into a rebuilt differential isnt that the point of preload, once it is smashed and you can feel the wrench or breaker bar get easy to turn. Then why couldnt a guy just say thats the point of preload and if he had to take appart the diff for some reason when putting it back together re-use the crush sleave as if it was a solid spacer. I dont under stand, i mean when you put it back together you can feel the way the bearing turns inside the race, its preaty obvious when you have no more slop in the assembly. A dude could even go past this point slightly and then re-stake the nut, as far as im concerned. Hell tack weld the SOB!!. Right or no??
