Hey guys.

I have a 95 4Runner, v6, Auto, 4x4.

For some reason, if I set my cruise control after a minute or two the trans will automatically shift down to 3rd gear and will stay there until I take cruise off.

The trans fluid is fairly new, and at the right level. I have also checked the throttle pressure linkage and it is right.

Any other ideas?

Is this a recent development or has it always done this?

 

I have only owned the truck for about a year, but it has done it the whole time..

 

thats one reason im glad i dont have cruise. my moms expedition does that, and it drives me crazy
