That's not a wise choice.

You need to contact Colt Cams. If you're not interested in Crower. Weasy's are no longer available.

Y is doa not a wise choice? I think their prices seem fair. And what would you recommend for me so that I can build my engine so that my truck can race off road...I am not gonna do a swap because my engine is good and in offroad conditions I don't need a whole lot of power. Thanks

1. I've heard nothing good from anybody about anything they got from D.O.A Racing Engines. Not one person that has the 3VZ-E cams from him say that they were worth buying. Not to mention if they really are from Crower, THEY'RE CHEAPER FROM THEM!!!

2. D.O.A. has just within the last few months been upgraded from a score of F to a B- by the BBB. His custom service is NON-EXISTANT according to everybody I've heard.

Everyone here is talking about all the extra airflow being produced by ported heads, intakes, exhaust and such. However, I have yet seen anyone write about tuning the EFI to compensate for all that. Even adjusting the AFM wont do it because its only for closed loop. The ECU will run in open loop for anything over 80% throttle, using the stock fuel map. Which is set for stock components. If you haven't tuned for fuel after installing a intake and exhaust for example; I would bet my life on it that the ECU cant compensate enough on our trucks. Therefore leaning out, retarding the timing and losing power. All that air is pointless if you don't balance the mixture.

It does have some relevance to the topic but your right, my mistake. I believe I'm bass ackwards with closed and open loop. Thanks for the insulting clarification. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the AFM is actually used during open loop operations (cold starts and high load), while the o2 sensor and stock fuel map work in closed loop operations. Which clearly contradicts my comment about adjusting the AFM...

Try sharing your knowledge next time, it would be more constructive.
