Cracked radiator

Help!

I have a crack in my radiator.
I have talked to a few people and one suggested I go get it patched up by a radiator guy. He said it is the old copper one so I should hold on to it for as long as possible.

Thoughts?

It really depends on the condition of the radiator and where the crack is whether or not it is worth repairing.

If you have an old radiator shop relatively close to you, you can ask for their opinion.

My radiator has two very small cracks that coolant is just starting to seep out of, so I am in a similar position as you.

At first, I was just going to have mine repaired, but I really want to look over the rest of the radiator to make sure it is worth saving versus getting a brand new one.

I am not confident enough in my radiator soldering skills to do it myself (my truck is a daily driver).

For what its worth, I have a 10 year old CSF aftermarket copper/brass radiator in my 1987 Truck now. If I decide to replace it, I will probably go with another one as they are still available.
