Cracked firewall

Well my Firewall has cracked on my 91 PU in a couple of spots coming off of the clutch master cylinder and was wondering if any of yall had experienced this before and what the best way to fix it would be. Cracks aren't too bad and think I might be able to build some sort of plate to fit between the mc and firewall but not sure if this would be the best route or not. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! And a pic of my yota for ya'll

Hello and welcome. As suggested, pictures of the cracks would be helpful. The short answer is "yes" but you have to consider that you're making the firewall thicker by adding a plate. Doing so will require a rod adjustment. Are you having clutch engagement problems? If so, have you inspected the pedal assembly under the dash for the common crack issue?

hello when you make your repairs to your fire wall drill a small hole at the end of crack its supposed to keep the cracks from growing longer.
