sounds like you have a leak somewhere. are you losing fluid? my old 4runner had the same problem, and it turned out to be a very small, and when i say small, i mean small leak in the cooling coils of the radiator. the coolant was evaporating before it could reach the bottom and drip. i would take a while before the coolant would get low.

Gonna bump this topic back up.

Yes, I have 3 microscopic leaks at the top of my rad, every few days there will be a bead of coolant at each hole.

Other then that I am not losing any coolant at all. Thats how I know it can't be a hg.

and now, its getting worse. I can hear it if I turn the heater to cold but its not very loud.

Im hoping to find a used rad asap, I can't afford a new one.

I've bled the system but I assume that I have air getting in the system from the small leak. I don't have a head gasket issue and once the truck is warmed up - no noise.
My 3.0 does the same thing. The gurgle only last a second or so. The coolant level has not gone down and I have no other problems.
