control arms

91 runner with ifs. Upper ball joints are bad and its getting to be time to replace the bushings. Rather than do all this with stock stamped steel control arms I would like to just get some aftermarket tube steel control arms with stronger ball joints. Is this possible? Also can I get a few links to aftermarket sites for other parts please?.

Only ones I can think of is to do a long travel suspension.
Why do you want stronger ball joints? Wearing out fast? Breaking them?

yes, you're pretty much limited to LT control arms if you want that.

I also don't understand the need to upgrade them since your stock parts lasted a mere 23 yrs.

I have replaced both the upper and lower ball joints 2x b4 in 3 years of having the truck. The bushings where replaced about 5yrs ago and while where not gone would like to them to be safe. living in NM desert help with no rust but tears anything rubber or poly apart in short time. Was hopping maybe there where aftermarket arm I could use that would be stronger and last little longer and help reduce weight.

How many miles are you getting out of them? What brand are you installing? I need to make sure I don't buy that kind if they go so fast.

Look into getting some Toyota ball joints or equivalent like Sankei 555.
