Compression test numbers

Compression test numbers
I had a CT done today and here are the #s:
1 - 199
2 - 198
3 - 199
4 - 201
5 - 200
6 - 201
I haven't had a chance to talk to my mechanic and I've read that normal is ~171.
Head gaskets were done @ 60K and I now have 184K.
Are these #s too high? Carbon build-up in the combustion chamber?
Just wanted to see what you guys thought.
Thank you!

tried makes a great point. Do you know if the heads have been milled?
I wouldn't worry about it much, unless it's not running good. I can't imagine carbon building up so perfectly across all the cylinders, that the compression is so close.
What octane gas do you normally run? I would be running premium or midgrade at the least with 200 PSI compression.

Nothing wrond with high compression if they are all that close to each other. You may have to run a higher grade octane to keep in from pinging. There is also the possiblity that the gauge you used isn't calibrated correct. Either way the important thing is that all the cilynders are close to the same.

I believe the heads were milled...60K was a long time ago.
No pinging...use 87. And the truck is running well.
Yeah it makes sense that it wouldn't be carbon with the numbers so close...good point.
