Companion Flange Question

Over the weekend I swapped in a new to me third..

the Companion Flange was for a different year and the bolt holes were smaller and were not the same as my drive line, so I drilled it out. So now I am getting vibrations and I would like to eliminate this as a probably cause.

I didn't have a 30mm socket to take it off and swap at the time, one is being shipped now.

Can I swap in my old Companion flange with out needing to pull the third?

Like doing a pinion seal replacement?

yep
it is a crush sleeve though , so be sure to put the nut back on exactly as you took it off .. count the turns , and stake it
