Combination Switch Removal

Combination Switch Removal
Trying to replace a suspected bad combo switch on my '87 pickup and I can't seem to get it off. I get the steering wheel off and the 4 screws that hold the switch to the steering column off too to get it loose, but there's a hub at the end of the steering column that I can't seem to get off in order to slide the combo switch off. Anyone have any experience removing the combo switch before?

I don`t remember any hub that all should have come off with the steering wheel
Are you dealing with a after market steering wheel??
If that is the case I would venture to say you need a puller to get the hub off.
You did need a puller to get the steering wheel off Correct??
A good many years ago I used the two arm yanking method only to smash my nose so good it took quite a while to get the blood stopped.
If not the splines on the column and the steering wheel are really worn.

...aftermarket hub, some elbow grease got it off after I removed the nut on the top. swapped out the combo switch with a new one but still having a problem, so back to the drawing boards. Thanks though.
