Cold Start Injector is working?

Cold Start Injector is working?
I have the haynes manual and have done the very basic listen if its "clicking" routine, but other than disconnecting the banjo bolt on the cold start injector line and turning the truck on to see if fuel sprays every where, I can hear an it seems to be working.
I jumped the EFI ODB terminals and all clear came up.
-How do I know for sure that its working?
-How will i know when it shuts off?
reason, why I am asking is because its a real pain in the ass to start in the cold of winter and often floods itself. I have to pull the plugs in -30 celcius and wipe em off and re-install them before she'll go.
Should I just install a block heater?
thanks, any help is appreciated.

Yeah basically, what I was saying is to just pull the banjo botl off and see if gas sprays out when I crank it over. I'll try that...As for the timing switch. I dont know where that is located, but before last winter I cleaned the Cold start sensor...which I belive is the timer sensor, but correct me if I am wrong..

Ok well as far as I know its working when the engine is cold. I will have to check another day when the engine is warm whether or not the injector shuts off when the engine is at operating temp.
JUst out of curiosity I am wondering if is it possible to have the cold start sensor recalibrated my a factory mechanic?

X2. All you are doing is a pressure check in your fuel rail. Pull the injector (w/ the wires and fuel line still connected) then do your test to see if it shuts off. (You might need to purchase a new gasket if you pull the injector.)

seems to be working correctly as far as I can tell. I'll just wait till the cold weather comes and just try it then to see if it works any better than last winter. Thanks for the help and the helpful corrections guys!
