Dreidel

Hey guys been a while. 95 toyota pickup base reg cab 22re. Ok so trucks been running good up until recently. I have a bad exhaust leak and it throws a code 25. Gets ok mileage with this code but I have seen way better. But today I almost cause a accident cause when I was pulling into traffic it all the sudden lost all power and wouldn't go unless I was barley on the gas (like it was engine braking) so I pulled codes today when I got to work and now I have codes 42 and 43 for vss and starter signal. Now the truck barley runs and is dumping so much fuel you can smell it plus I can barely touch the gas or it engine brakes. I do have a electric Speedo but I do however find it odd that these two codes have only ever come on in pairs not jusy one or the other they both appear and the truck runs bad. I heard that off the vss goes bad it can trigger the governor which would explain quite a bit but what about the starter signal code
