I have a 86 thats throwing 11 and 12, and Im assuming that 11 is a tps, but from what I understand, 12 is the knock sensor. The truck had a bad hesitation which was resolved by retarding the timing a couple degrees. Runs fine now, but throws the codes as soon as I get going and into second gear. I am wondering if its possible that a bad tps could cause knock, or knock sensor issues? Im trying to sell the truck so i dont want to sink a ton of money into it. If anyone could help with a quick fix that would be greatly appreciated.
