I have a 1991 4runner with the 3vze. i just rebuilt the bottom and top end in my truck and then the truck has been throwing famous knock sensor code at me since I got it done.. when i took it on its first started it i was thrilled when i took it on its frist test drive I reached the neighbor's mailbox about three houses down THE LIGHT CAME ON!! I went back home and i crossed terminals.. knock sensor... I won't lie I think I cried... what gives?? toyota dealer says it could be in the computer itself, is this feasable? and i also heard that the distributor.. i checked the wire before i put it back together it was good.. also as soon as light comes on truck loses 20% of power, also i did an auto to manual swap in the truck if that has anything to do with it... Did you change the knock sensor pigtail when you did the top end?
