code 51 question

Ok great toyota guys. I have been scratching my head for three weeks on this surging problem I have, and I found this post. Could a bad plug wire, causing a miss, make the ECU throw a code 51(TPS Idle)

Here is why I think so, if you read the first post, mine is doing the EXACT same thing, only I get a code 51. If you read the last post you see what fixed it for him.

Just for the sake of conversation let me know what ya think.

if one of your plug wires is hanging loose over the exhaust manifold, it could cause the wire to break down and not put out as much current as it's supposed to.

i don't know that'll give you a code 51, but if your plug wires are old, or dangling over the manifold, replace 'em

I got it figured out...its just what I didn't want to hear...TPS! I unhooked it and it runs fine. I will replace tomorrow.
