clutch fork wont move!! help!!

clutch fork wont move!! help!!

i just replaced the clutch master cylinder, flywheel, clutch and pressure plate.. got tranny back in and all bolted up, then i went to bolt on new slave sylinder but the clutch fork wont move back so i can mount the slave cylinder!!
i think throwout came off the shaft but i was wondering if i have to take tranny out AGAIN or something i can do without taking it out again!
any help much appreciated!! thanks

The throwout can't come off the shaft once its in, you need to push in the clutch slave to install it. Can you move the fork at all? Since the slave isn't on, pull the boot off and look in there with a flashlight. You can get a good look at the fork and release bearing

i know the throwout cant come all the way off the shaft but cant it come off the wider part after the splined part?

and i did take off the boot but cant see much..



and the fork is all the way forward and i cant move it back at all..

Compress the slave cylinder then try bolting it on

cant i break the slave by compressing it? its brand new i havent even hooked up the line to the back.

i just read on some other forum that i wont be able to push the fork by hand.. is that true?

If it's new and nothing hooked up to it, you should be able to compress it by hand.

since it takes hydrolics and your left foot to operate, no you won't be able to move it easily. You wont damage the slave if you compress by hand. Just don't use a hammer and leave the line loose or the bleeder so the air has a place to go. Once its on and bolted in, bleed the system.
