clocking the a/c compressor?
#1
quick question to anyone:
can the a/c compressor be "clocked"?
mine is the later model, so the hoses stick straight up, and it's annoying. if possible, i want to clock it with the hoses out of the way

(i have my reasons for clocking it, so none of that "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" stuff)

Leave it to me to be the voice of reason (or confusion for that matter) right? lmao.
Got another question, why do you find it annoying? What are they in the way of? I have no clue as I don't have A/C. However, if one were to put one in for say an onboard air system, I might need to know. lol.

haha, yeah
air intake interference mainly. the clamps are awefully close to cutting into the hoses. and a lot of the weight of the intake is pushing down on the hoses.
also york oba possibilities

lol yup. I think he did say ARB???? makes a bracket for em. I know BudBuilt made them but stopped for a while now. I don't think you can retain your A/C though. For me, AC onboard air makes perfect sense. Absolutely nothing on the truck to remove.
If I had more money at the time and wasn't doing a bog this weekend I woulda bought one. I don't know exactly how hard they are to find, but I know they are rather difficult. To my understanding there is two different ratings for them, just not sure which ones he has.

three different ones; short stroke, medium, and long. not hard to come by, but hard to come by at $10.
i don't think arb makes one, but budbuilt made one that let you keep a/c. i think i have enough room, though
