Anyone have a full spec sheet on the 261c,268 and 270 cam from engnbldr. I have spoken with ted through email but didnt get all the specs. Would love to see the spec sheets then order my cam today. Thanks

It's really simple, want bottom end grunt use 261, want mid range use 268 and higher rpm use 270.
I would reserve the 270 for a celica or 2wd street truck.

I believe all of them don't require upgraded valve springs.

would you recommend a cam timing gear to degree any of these cams in or are they spot on. block nor heads have been cut. Putting this in my 4wd auto truck that has 33x1250 and sees daily use with some off road. Also installing lc engineering headers and have done a supra mass air flow conversion. trying to choose which cam so i can get it ordered. have also looked at the lc engineering pro efi cam. boy i hate so many choices sometimes

Don't need to if your not cut anywhere. Cam gear is only gonna move the torque curve for the most part.

Do you think the 270 would be a good for a 4Runner?

Your not gonna see the affects of that cam most likely till you reach 4K+ in RPM. ANd you might see a decrease below 2k.
Not sure if that cam also gives a lopey idle.

This one? http://www.toyotacatalog.net/M1WebGe...9-71F773B35A7B

Smooth Idle (1200-5000 rpm range)
Throttle Body, Filter Charger, 1 1/2" Header
Looks like it's a 280 degree cam. That's gonna lope I bet at idle. Says 1500-5000 RPM and smooth idle, I don't buy it along with alot of other stuff LCE claims. I know it's not just the duration of a cam that causes lope as most of the time it's the overlap that causes it but......

This is another reason why I don't trust them:

LCE will NOT warranty any cam damage if you do not purchase rocker arms or a complete rocker arm assembly with the cam.
They warranty only if you buy something else.

yes that is the one. 280 degree. but 230 @.050. the 261 is actually 222@.050 with the lope seperation that they claim on intake and exhaust it really should not idle that rough. but i think you have answered my question in your statement " I don't buy it along with alot of other stuff LCE claims."

any reviews on thier headers before i step off in a trap there? like the DT's but at twice the price of lc's and 3 times the price of others i was looking for a cheaper route but still better quality that what i have heard about on the pace setters.

yeah the 261 is just a bit different then a stock cam. Almost the same really. My 268 doesn't lope either.

Does LCE make a 4 - 2 - 1 Tri "y"? I thought all of theirs were a 4 - 1 ? I'd rather run a tri-y. Can't go wrong with a thorley. I have an old downey 4 - 1 on mine that came with the truck.

4 - 2 - 1 will again give you a better throttle response and torque curve in lower-mid range rpm where a 4 - 1 will give you mid to upper rpm gains.

yeah, IMO a 4 - 1 isn't worth it on these trucks. But that's just my opinion lots of 4 - 1's out there on here and people have been happy with them. If I had to get a new one, I'd save for a Thorley or simply grab an OEM manifold from a junk yard.

yes but the 555YC shows only for a 5 speed trans..... guess one more reason i should convert over. lol

I guess it will be a factory manifold with exhaust upgrade... oh well i like saving money

Yeah I think most of the headers made for these are for manual trans.
