Clicking noise, unable to locate

Hey all... since i did my rebuild i have a clicking noise comming from.....somewhere.. thought it might have been from the front end but when riding in the back it sounds like it might be comming from right below you. Clicking only happens when hard breaking and left turns, but is only intermitent. Had ppl look/listen while driving by and still not sure. One person suggested leaf packs. everything in the hubs is good and tight, brakes were done today. Still clicking. It is not the steering stop covers. Anyone had this problem before? I am at a loss..... cant figure this one out.

Not sure of the design of your ?truck?. However I had a cherokee in years past that made a clicking sound when it was loaded with camping gear. Drove me nuts till I found a park break cable had been bent near the rear axle and was acually hitting a wheel weight on the inside of the rim. Good luck with it.

Dunno what you rebuilt, so my guess is also leaf springs related - or the leaf bushings are possibly over tight or not enough lubrication and causing a clicking noise when it sticks. Those are right below you when in back. Leafs kinda unload/change position when you turn/body roll and also when you stop, so that's my first guess, leaf hanger bushings. I had similar noise from my front hanger bushings and all it needed was a little more grease and less torque on the nut.

It really could be anything though but sounds like you at least know it's rear of rig. Good luck.

Engine was rebuilt... spun some bearings, trashed the idle timing gear, burnt some rods/valves/pistons... was pretty you should check out my rebuild thread, was some good pictures.

Well if your rebuild was focused on the engine then I dunno. I guess disregard previous statement, although it's always a good idea to maintain your leaf bushings. Good luck chasing it down.
